Utilizing a gel-spun polyethylene core, which is the most advanced core material on the market, this shooting line achieves a true “no-stretch” characteristic. The ultra-low diameter of this core combines with superior strength to offer a shooting line that is the strongest, most durable, and most sensitive shooting line you will ever use. The polyethylene coating is formulated for extremely low memory, high float, and minimal “water pick-up” to greatly reduce guide-icing, friction, and to keep you dryer while casting.

Line Description

Core

Our GSP Floating Shooting line utilizes our strong, zero-stretch, gel-spun polyethylene core, making it a favorite running line choice for many two-handed rod anglers for years. The extreme sensitivity of the GSP core improves the angler’s ability to feel strikes as well as increasing the effectiveness of hook-sets. Another benefit of the GSP core is its strength, boasting one of the highest break-strength to diameter ratios available on the market.

Coating

Our GSP Floating Shooting line uses a naturally buoyant coating that will float high and will never lose its ability to float throughout the life of the line. It is flexible in a wide range of temperature environments and has a low coefficient of friction surface, making it slick and smooth as it runs through rod guides. We offer a variety of coating colors so no matter the head an angler is using you can find the perfect shooting line to contrast for easy visibility of head to shooting line transition.

All GSP Floating Shooting Lines come equipped with oversized factory welded and reinforced loops making for quick and easy head changes.

What I Like

It’s a great running line. A feel and texture that I prefer.

GSP shooting line

I love the fast shipping! And I love the idea of GSP shooting line. Unless I get on an airplane in the next few months, I'll have to wait for spring thaw in order to try them (interior Alaska).

Good line

Based on two uses so far, the line shoots very well, has a nice hard finish, and tangles much less than similar lines offered by other manufacturers. I haven't used it enough yet to evaluate its durability.
